Musica come antidoto

contro il logorio della società moderna

Viviamo in tempi tristi, in cui la società ha ridotto qualsiasi cosa ad una merce di scambio. I numeri dettano legge e non c’è più posto per l’arte, solo per i soldi.

Veniamo spinti sempre di più verso l’omologazione. In radio una canzone è interscambiabile con un’altra, non esistono più musicisti ma “cantanti” che cantano sopra una base sempre uguale, replicabile, fatta sempre da quei quattro nomi “famosi”. Fai e ripeti, fai e ripeti, fai e ripeti. Canzone fatte per lo streaming e per durare forse qualche mese, per poi scomparire nel dimenticatoio, tanto poi è pronta la prossima “hit” che seguirà lo stesso percorso.

La musica è diventata un sottofondo, intrattenimento spazzatura per menti vuote e facilmente condizionabili.

Quello di cui voglio parlare qui è il mio antidoto a questa società malata nella quale non mi riconosco, una società che eleva ogni giorno di più i valori dell’ignoranza e della conformità e che denigra il merito ed il libero arbitrio.

Il mio antidoto è la musica vera, quella fatta con cuore e cervello, quella che infrange lo status quo e crea qualcosa di nuovo, di diverso.

In questo blog cercherò di parlare della musica che mi ispira, che mi scorre nelle vene; di retroscena musicali e ricordi personali che si intrecciano a tutte queste storie. Troverete anche traduzioni di articoli in tedesco ed inglese e scenari proventienti dalla mia città, Berlino. Ho un amore particolare per i Depeche Mode e molti di questi articoli parleranno di loro, ma saranno affiancati da tanti altri artisti e gruppi che hanno contribuito a farmi diventare la persona che sono oggi.

Musik als Antidot

gegen den Verschleiß der modernen Gesellschaft

Wir leben in traurigen Zeiten, in denen die Gesellschaft alles zu einer Ware gemacht hat. Zahlen bestimmen das Spiel und es gibt keinen Platz mehr für Kunst, nur für Geld.

Wir werden mehr und mehr in Richtung Homologation gedrängt. Im Radio ist ein Lied durch ein anderes austauschbar, es gibt keine Musiker mehr, sondern “Sänger”, die über eine immer gleiche, wiederholbare Basis singen, die immer von diesen vier “berühmten” Namen stammt. Machen und wiederholen, machen und wiederholen, machen und wiederholen. Songs, die für das Streaming gemacht sind und sich vielleicht ein paar Monate halten, um dann in der Vergessenheit zu verschwinden, denn dann ist der nächste “Hit” fertig und wird den gleichen Weg gehen.

Musik ist zur Hintergrundunterhaltung für leere und leicht konditionierbare Gemüter geworden.

Worüber ich hier sprechen möchte, ist mein Gegenmittel gegen diese kranke Gesellschaft, in der ich mich selbst nicht wiedererkenne, eine Gesellschaft, die die Werte der Ignoranz und Konformität jeden Tag mehr erhöht und Verdienst und freien Willen verunglimpft.

Mein Gegenmittel ist echte Musik, die mit Herz und Verstand gemacht wird, die den Status quo erschüttert und etwas Neues, etwas anderes schafft.

In diesem Blog werde ich versuchen, über die Musik zu sprechen, die mich inspiriert, die durch meine Venen fließt; über musikalische Hintergründe und persönliche Erinnerungen, die mit all diesen Geschichten verwoben sind. Sie finden hier auch Übersetzungen von Artikeln auf Deutsch und Englisch und Szenarien aus meiner Stadt Berlin. Ich habe eine besondere Liebe zu Depeche Mode und viele dieser Artikel werden von ihnen handeln, aber auch von vielen anderen Künstlern und Bands, die dazu beigetragen haben, mich zu der Person zu machen, die ich heute bin.

Music as an antidote

against the wear and tear of modern society

We live in sad times, in which society has reduced everything to a commodity. Numbers dictate the law and there is no longer any place for art, only money.

We are pushed more and more towards homologation. On the radio, one song is interchangeable with another, there are no longer any musicians but ‘singers’ who sing over a base that is always the same, replicable, always made by those four ‘famous’ names. Do and repeat, do and repeat, do and repeat. Songs made for streaming and to last perhaps a few months, only to disappear into oblivion, because then the next ‘hit’ is ready and will follow the same path.

Music has become background, junk entertainment for empty and easily conditioned minds.

What I want to talk about here is my antidote to this sick society in which I do not recognise myself, a society that elevates the values of ignorance and conformity more and more every day and denigrates merit and free will.

My antidote is real music, the kind made with heart and brain, the kind that shatters the status quo and creates something new, something different.

In this blog I will try to talk about the music that inspires me, that runs through my veins; about musical backgrounds and personal memories that are intertwined with all these stories. You will also find translations of articles in German and English and scenarios from my city, Berlin. I have a particular love for Depeche Mode and many of these articles will be about them, but they will be joined by many other artists and bands that have contributed to making me the person I am today.
